Orange Pudding Recipe

Here is an orange pudding recipe that is suitable to be made completely with one of the Cuisinart SM-55 5-1/2-Quart Stand Mixers. This transforms this tasty dessert recipe in a easy to make dessert to spoil your family and friends with. Without one of the Cuisinart SM-55 5-1/2-Quart Stand Mixers it will be a little harder to make.
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup flour
- ½ Cup sugar
- ½ Cup milk
- 2 Ounces butter
- ¼ Teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon apricot jam or golden syrup
- 1 Egg
- 1.2 Teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- ½ Teaspoon grated orange peel
Method:
- Heat the butter a little until if is soft but not melted
- Beat the eggs and sugar very well
- Add the butter
- Add all the other ingredients, lastly the bicarbonate of soda dissolved in the milk
- Mix well
Syrup:
- 2 Cups of water
- ¾ Cup of orange juice
- Pinch of salt
- ½ Cup sugar
- 1 Dessertspoon butter
Method:
- Boil all the ingredients together
- Pour it in an oven proof dish
- Pour the batter into the boiling hot syrup
- Bake at 350-375 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes until done.
