Alex Toys Paper Plate Bugs
Keeping your youngsters entertained is not always an easy task. I am constantly on the look-out for, inexpensive and fun, craft activities to do that keeps little guys focused and busy. I came across Alex Toys Paper Plate Bugs set, which allows kids to make their own paper plate bugs.
I am certain that your kids will have a blast making and decorating their own unique creepy crawlies. This activity caters – in my opinion - for different age groups. It can be done (with a little help from you) by a preschooler, but can also be enjoyed by slightly older children.
The product comes with lots of bits and pieces to create 5 paper plate bugs. It comes with many different stickers, funny googly eyes, pipe cleaners, pom poms, paper cut- outs and other decorations. Obviously, you can also incorporate anything else you might find in your home. Also included is a glue stick and instructions.
Overall, I think that this box set is good value for money and it would also make a fantastic and fun gift.
Here are some of the reviews you will find on the Amazon site of people that have bought this Alex Toys Paper Plate Bugs:
My 2 1/2 year daughter and her 20 month friend loved the plate bugs. The finished projects were so cute that we used them in our daughter's room for decoration. The glue stick is worthless on this project however just regular Elmer's glue worked well. One thing I did was glue on major pieces such as legs and let them dry before the kids finished the project. Otherwise they were tempted to pull off the pieces. I am going to purchase more of the Alex Art Series projects. They are delightful and keep the kids entertained for up to an hour at a time.
Red Ink (Phoenix, AZ)I got this for my daughter when we were housebound due to toilet training. Of all the similar activities we engaged in, this was by far her favorite. It kept us busy for a good hour at a time, per bug, times five bugs. All in all, a great investment!
Ana T. (Washington, DC United States)My grandchildren, being 3 and 4 years of age, needed a lot of help with this. But they were pleased with the results. The plates were difficult to glue and stick, for the plates are beveled.
